Best Birthday Yet

My birthday this year was awesome! I know I'm a slacker at posting this when it was actually my birthday, but oh well. Better late than never. When I woke up on my birthday Jace had me open my presents before I got ready or anything. He was so excited. I had been giving him crap about not wrapping my "birthday shirt" we ahd bought a week or so earlier all day before my birthday and as far as I knew it was still hanging in our closet so I had no idea what was wrapped so pretty. He used one of my blank cards for my birthday card and had to make the card part. He did awesome. I opened up a pair of new shorts, and my shirt i swear was still in the closet. He had just put a shirt I already had that looked similar to the new one in its place and I didn't notice. I learned not to assume anything anymore. haha. He also gave me a new duck. Our flashing duck he got on his mission is dying and I was so sad so he found one on ebay for me. I loved it. We ahd dinner at Texas and had a fun night with friends. It was a great birthday. But little did I know that it wasn't over. . .

My Gifts form Hubby! He even wrapped them. :)

My New DuckThis is NOT my birthday shirt. He tricked me.

Yeah! A new outfit. To bad it was raining so I couldn't wear the shorts.

A sweet surprise from hubby. Balloons, Dr. Pepper, and a Kite. :)

Ernie and Gail came down on friday to celebrate and take me to lunch for my birthday. We went to Cafe Rio and had some very yummy food and enjoyed catching up. On our way back to the apartment Ernie asked me to hand him his had that was in the back window behind my head. I was a little lost as to why he would want his hat. He had been talking about my hat all day too I had no idea what was his deal with hats. I gave him his hat from the back window and then he told me I forgot something in the window. I looked back and it was an iPod touch! Ernie had picked up the iPod up north for Jace the week before and they brought it down for him. I was shocked. Jace and I have been trying to find one for ever and the little stinker didn't tell me he already had one so we had been searching clear up til this moment. I am so happy and I love my iPod touch. It is the best thing ever.

Surpise!!!!!

Jace's Graduation Yeah!!!

Jace graduated this friday with his Associates Degree. Well, he actually got his degree in December but graduation is in May so he got to walk and get his degree case. I am so proud of him. He has worked very hard and even graduated with Honors! He is just amazing and very smart. I love him lots. Only one more year and he will have his bachelors Degree. :0 Yeah for My Bug! Thanks for all the support he had and to those that were able to make it. We love you all.

BBQ

I finally faced my fear of the BBQ and grilled up some yummy hamburgers for dinner the other day. It was such a nice day outside so we cleaned up the patio and closet and our neighbors were grilling burgers that smelled great so I just had to run to the store to show them how it's done. :) Grilling was not as scary as I thought it would be, but the flames coming up and covering the burgers made me a little nervous. I survived though and we had a great dinner. I can't wait to grill some more.

Cheese! Look - even shorts already. :)

The scary flames comin for me.

Easter Egg Plant

So Jace and I went to Lowes a week or so ago to get a outside broom to clean off the patio and the outside storage closet. When we were checking out I saw these colored eggs and look at them. They were called "Egg Plants". Turns out they were a ceramic egg filled with soil and seeds to grow flowers in them. They were so cute. The next day we went back and bought me one and one to send to Tailee and Chacen for Easter. I decided to see how this "egg plant" thing worked so I opened the packaging to see what to do and the dumb instruction inside the plastic wrap said to crack the egg with the plastic wrap on. How the heck would I know that if the instructions are in the plastic! Honestly. Needless to say I lost some of the soil in cracking my egg since the plastic wrap wasn't on it but it worked out ok. Hopefully it grows and my knack for killing plants will not over come and my green thumb will emerge. :)

Jace Birthday (This is late- but still worth posting.)

Jace's birthday was Feb 9th. and we made the most of it with our busy day/week. The day started out with us scrambling to get out the door on time like usual and surviving 3 hours of classes. Momma T and Ernie came down from filly to celebrate too. They had his gift sent here and so we opened gifts before we left to eat. I gave him some of his favorite goodies and . . .

he got some very nice new shoes - which he needed - from Momma T and Ernie. He got goodies and cards and money too from the rest of the family. Thanks go out to everyone. We took the birthday boy out to lunch at The Pasta Factory. It was so good. He even got a birthday cheesecake. We decided it would be fun to play glow-in-the-dark mini golf since Momma T and Ernie hadn't been before. We had a blast and it was so fun for all of us to act like kids. Jace of course won and I as usual lost. Ernie took second and Gail was one point lower than me. haha.

After they left Jace was so nice to help me study for my Lab practical I had the next day by being my patient and letting me practice on him. He is a good little actor. I kept laughing and messing up, but he just kept on acting like an old man with shoulder pain, or back pain. We had a fun little evening together.

Our First Valentines Day!

This was our first Valentine's Day together. Last year Jace had eye surgery so we didn't get to really celebrate it, but we are so glad he got his eyes fixed. :) Anyway, our Valentines day was so much fun. We celebrated Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we went and did a session at the temple with our friends Rhett and Natalie. It was so much fun and I am so glad they invited us. Oh, I also made Ebelskeivers for breakfast and boy were they good. We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse since it is our favorite. It took about 2 hours to get seated but their Ribs are worth it. We ate about a bucket of peanuts waiting so we got our money's worth. :) We finished off the evening with the movie Love Happens. It was cute. I recommend it to anyone.
Sunday, the official Valentine's Day, Jace slept in and I got up and did my hair all "cute" and also got his card ready and put it on his computer so he could find it. I also heart attacked our kitchen (covered it in Hearts) with little sayings on them. We walked around and read each one and if it said "HUG ME" or "KISS ME" then he gave me a hug or kiss. It was fun. For breakfast I made "I Love You" pancakes with pink milk, not strawberry. It was delicious. Church was good too and everyone talked about love at home. What better to talk about on Valentines Day! When I walked int he door after church, our table was in the middle of the kitchen with a pink sheet covering it, flowers, 2 long stem candles, a Hershey's candy bar and snickers, balloons and strawberry sparkling Juice. I was shocked! My hubby is so cute and sweet. I just love him. We turned on our song Then by Brad Paisley and danced in our kitchen before we blew out the candles. We had a wonderful dinner, played Five Crowns, and watch The Time Travelers Wife. It was the best Valentine's Day Ever!

What We've Been Up Too!

Well, since school has started we haven't been doing very much besides school and studying. I have classes for 5 or 6 hours a day and Jace for 3 hours! I'm lucky though and get Friday's off, which I am so grateful for. We have no time for anything it seems like, but we are still having fun and making some time for the fun stuff and relaxing. We are still trying to get our new apartment organized and complete. Slowly but surely it will happen, even if that is in a couple months or maybe when this semester is over. Things are going good and school is picking up for both of us with 5 tests this week for me and 2 test and Multiple assignments due for Jace. All with his birthday in the middle of it. We are gonna need all the help and prayers we can get to make it through this week! Wish us luck! :)
