Plymouth Adventures

Jace and I went up to Plymouth last week (July 27-Aug 1) to visit family and go to my 5 year Class Reunion. Our trip was so much fun! We left St. George on Sunday after church and we were so happy we stayed for Nursey. We had 17 kids and only 3 leaders. Luckily there were a couple parents to help a little bit but it was still crazy fun. That age is too cute. I just love it. We stayed the night in Fillmore and visited with Ernie and Gail. It was fun to catch up and just chat.
On Monday Grandma came over to see if we could help them bail the hay around 4 but when we looked outside there were all these dark rain clouds and it was getting windy. Jace and Ernie came home and they said they could help but all of us were worried about the rain so we check doppler and there were storms heading our way! We ate our lunch really quick and changed into dirty clothes to go help grandpa who was out bailing. He got 4 hay bails in before the rain kicked him off his tractor; two of them broke open though. :( We waited patiently for about 15 or 20 minutes before the rain stopped and we were out working the field. :) We had a good system down too. Grandpa drove the tractor with the old bailor on it, Grandma was the knotty watcher (she made she the knots stayed tied and the bailing twine got cut), Jace pulled the hay bails off the bailor and put them in the trailor that Gail pulled on her 4-wheeler, Ernie was the stacker in the quansa hut, and I did whatever else was needed like moving piles of hay back in line. :) It was alot of fun and good to help Grandma and Grandpa out. Jace didn't have a allergy attack either. It was so nice.
That night we left for SLC becuase Jace and Ernie were teaching a class Tuesday morning. I hung out in the Hotel and relaxed until lunch time and then stayed with them to watch the rest of the class. It was kinda fun to see what they do.
Jace and I took our time getting up to Plymouth. We stopped at Layton and New Gate Mall to see if there were any good back to school deals but we found nothing for back to school. We were lucky to find a new swimming suit for Jace for $15 though! It is very nice too. We were hoping to find more than just that but oh well.
It was so nice to finally get to Plymouth. Its such a long drive! We drove through Brigham City to see where the new Temple is being built too. It will be so amazing to see a temple there and have it across from the tabernacle as well. I can't believe how many temples there are and how many more are being built. I love loving so close to the temple too. It such a peaceful place and so beautiful. I absolutely love it.
Wednesday we met TaiLynne, BJ, Chacen, and Tailee, and Mom and Arnold at El Parrel in Tremonton for dinner. We had so much food. I was grateful for sharing with Jace becuase they give you so much food there it is ridiculous. Tailee and Chacen were so cute too when they saw Jace and I. They both ran to us and gave us a big hug yelling our names. I loved it. I missed them so much I didn't want to let them go.
We went to Kings after and Tailee got some stuff for school. We went downstairs to play with all the toys and had the time of our lives. They have the funnest toys there. Chacen road a motorcycle around the store and Tailee jumped from one thing to the other. She would also grab Jaces Hands and he would pull her. Her shoes were slippery so she slide across the tile floor. She had so much fun.
Mom and Arnold left on Thursday for Montana because my mom had a class reunion as well. We cleaned their carpets with the old deep cleaner my mom didn't even know she had. haha. It worked so good and got all of the nasty stains out of their carpet. We had fun cleaning and going through all my old stuff.
We went to the Pool on Friday with Tailynne, Chacen, Tailee, BJ, Anthony, Logan and Olivia. We had a blast. We went down the big slide and the kids went down the little slide and just loved playing in the water. We had Pizza Hut after wich made the day even better. Tailee and Chacen came back to Plymouth with us for a sleep over. Chacen fell asleep in the car and slept until about 9 am the next day. I wish I could sleep like that! We had so much fun on Saturday with the kids. I made a fishing game for them to play and Chacen played all day! he loved it. We got creative and found them a boat. It was just am empty tote we had. Jace was the "motor" and drove /pulled the boat to the lake were all the fish were. It was so cute to watch them play. I had so much fun playing too that I didn't want to take them home. It was hard to say goodbye but we had too. I can't wait to see them again. I already miss them.
Jace and I had so much fun picking raspberries for Momma T before we left Plymouth. It was raining and there is a nest with 3 eggs in the raspberry bushes so the momma bird about took my head off trying to get us to leave but we didn't. It was too much fun. We had so much stuff in the car when we left that we forgot the half full gallon sized bag of raspberries we picked. It was so sad. I wish I would have remembered them.
Here are a few pictures from the trip. I wish I would have got pictures of us bailing hay.

The Lake!

Jace and I have loved going to the lake this year. It has been so hot the past couple weeks and the water feels so great! We just float out on the lake for hours without realizing it has been that long. It is very relaxing. I have forgotten my camera every other time we have gone but I finally remembered it for this trip. We spend a couples hours there just floating on our blow-up bed thingy's and talking. It was great! We had alot of fun trying to get a picture of both of us on the lake too since one of us would have to push the button on the camera with the 10 sec timer then run into the lake and get on our floaty before the 10 seconds were up. It was hilarious to watch us try to run through the water that fast and look natural, but we got some fun pics.
We decided to go back the next day and spent most of the day there. We got there around 2:30pm and noticed that our normal spot was taken so we had to find a different area. We ended up at a rocky, very muddy area of the shore. I didn't like it one bit. The water was all dirty and there was a crawdad getting beat by the waves at the shore. Jace enjoyed playing with it for a little bit before finally getting back out to the lake. We set up our chairs after testing the temperature of the water and ate the lunch we packed. It was really good. We had sandwiches, fresh pineapple, chips, and a Dr. Pepper. Yummy!
After we filled our bellies we blew up our floaty's and braved the muddy yucky crawdad water. Once we got in we floated away from the grossness to to clear pretty water and soaked up the sun. The people that were in our spot left a little while after we got in so we hurried and moved our stuff over. Jace taught me how to skip rocks too. I got one rock to skip 5 times! That is my record. jace can get them to skip 20 times I swear. Someday I will be just as good as him. :) We walked out in the water and swam around for a little bit and floated around somemore before we decided to leave. Poor Jace got so sun burnt though. He looks like a plutonic lobster today. I can see alot of blister forming so I have been covering him in aloe. Hopefully he doesn't peel too bad.
When we went to bed that night we both couldn't sleep. We felt like we were still on the lake rocking on the waves. We both slept horribly. Hopefully tonight will be better and hopefully Jace's sunburn wont' hurt to much.

The lake looks gorgeous! You can't tell from the picture
that it is 110 degrees outside but it is!

Blowing up the floaty's

Floating on the lake in style! Isn't he cute?!?

This is one of our attempts to get a picture
of us on the lake. Didn't quite make it.

Yeah! We got a good one! My foot in almost
covering my face but we made it. :)

Best picture of the day!

Getting ready to leave. It was so much fun!

4 wheeling

Monday after the 4th of July we went 4 wheeling. First time this year! It was so much fun. We went on a new trail this time and it was so pretty. I loved seeing all the wild flowers and butterflies. We had a good little lunch on the mountain and Ernie was nice enough to invite a bee over to eat with me. :) Haha. Let's just say I haven't moved that fast in a long time. After getting rid of the bee and finishing eating Jace and Ernie threw rocks in the stream trying to hit the dam of rocks and twiggs. It was fun to watch them. We road across the mountain after that and stopped to see our tree. We both carved on 2010 in our tree too. It was good to see our tree again. The mountain was so beautiful. We saw a couple dear and snake too! I liked the dear, not the snake. I love riding through the water too. It is my favorite for sure! I took lots of pictures and I can't wait to go again so get ready Ernie and Momma T! :)

Jace and I talk in sacrament meeting today and Ernie and Gail were able to come down and support us and hear our talks. It was so great to have them here. I love when they come to visit. We did great on our talks and are so happy to be done with them.
Ernie and Gail came down on saturday and they suprised us with our 1 year anniversary gift since next saturday marks our first year. They gave us something I have been wanting since I saw Gails. It is a little green and I love it! I can't wait to find a stain to use it on.

My Next Try at a Green Thumb

Well my last attempt at growing a plant was not in favor of the poor plant so, I decided to try a plant that was already grown. This was under the "easy to grow" section at Lowe's so I figured I could do it. I will try to keep it watered and in the sun so it won't die but I already explained him (the plant) that I don't have a green thumb and that he will have to be patient and help me out. I think he understood cuz he perked right up after we gave him some water. He was a little water deprived at Lowe's but I still thought he was cute. We were going to do a small garden but decided against that since it is so late in the year for it and the fact that I can't seem to grow anything. So, wish this poor plant luck.

Best Birthday Yet

My birthday this year was awesome! I know I'm a slacker at posting this when it was actually my birthday, but oh well. Better late than never. When I woke up on my birthday Jace had me open my presents before I got ready or anything. He was so excited. I had been giving him crap about not wrapping my "birthday shirt" we ahd bought a week or so earlier all day before my birthday and as far as I knew it was still hanging in our closet so I had no idea what was wrapped so pretty. He used one of my blank cards for my birthday card and had to make the card part. He did awesome. I opened up a pair of new shorts, and my shirt i swear was still in the closet. He had just put a shirt I already had that looked similar to the new one in its place and I didn't notice. I learned not to assume anything anymore. haha. He also gave me a new duck. Our flashing duck he got on his mission is dying and I was so sad so he found one on ebay for me. I loved it. We ahd dinner at Texas and had a fun night with friends. It was a great birthday. But little did I know that it wasn't over. . .

My Gifts form Hubby! He even wrapped them. :)

My New DuckThis is NOT my birthday shirt. He tricked me.

Yeah! A new outfit. To bad it was raining so I couldn't wear the shorts.

A sweet surprise from hubby. Balloons, Dr. Pepper, and a Kite. :)

Ernie and Gail came down on friday to celebrate and take me to lunch for my birthday. We went to Cafe Rio and had some very yummy food and enjoyed catching up. On our way back to the apartment Ernie asked me to hand him his had that was in the back window behind my head. I was a little lost as to why he would want his hat. He had been talking about my hat all day too I had no idea what was his deal with hats. I gave him his hat from the back window and then he told me I forgot something in the window. I looked back and it was an iPod touch! Ernie had picked up the iPod up north for Jace the week before and they brought it down for him. I was shocked. Jace and I have been trying to find one for ever and the little stinker didn't tell me he already had one so we had been searching clear up til this moment. I am so happy and I love my iPod touch. It is the best thing ever.

Surpise!!!!!

Jace's Graduation Yeah!!!

Jace graduated this friday with his Associates Degree. Well, he actually got his degree in December but graduation is in May so he got to walk and get his degree case. I am so proud of him. He has worked very hard and even graduated with Honors! He is just amazing and very smart. I love him lots. Only one more year and he will have his bachelors Degree. :0 Yeah for My Bug! Thanks for all the support he had and to those that were able to make it. We love you all.
