Our First Christmas

Our First Christmas together was so much fun. Last night we started our celebrating and went to the temple to see the Nativity thats set up and listen to the sotry of Christs Birth. We loved it. But it was a little cold. I loved seeing all the lights at the temple too. After that we went and looked at Christmas lights and stopped to see Uncle Mont for a little bit and wish him Merry Christmas. It was a fun little evening. This morning we slept in and then showered and got ready before opening gifts. We are so blessed to have what we do and to receive so many wonderful gifts from family and friends. Thank you to everyone and Merry Christmas! Enjoy the day and relax like we will be doing. Love you all!

All our gifts sorted for opening.

I had no idea what this was when we opened it, but after asking my mom what it was I am very glad we got it. It turn our to be a pie or casserole dish carrier. You put the pie in the center then fold the small sides and tie them together then the other long sides have wood hands to carry it with. I love it.

The NFR in Las Vegas

We were able to go to the National Finals Rodeo on Thursday. It was so much fun. We had really good seats and were able to spent some time with Ernie. Wish Gail could have been there too, but Grandpa and Grandma needed to have some support there. Ernie got 4 tickets from Southwest Gas, a company they do training for. They were really good seats too. Section 111, Row R, Seats 13-16. We had a really good, but overly priced, BBQ Pork Sandwich for dinner and ate it in the arena before the show started. We took tons of pictures and enjoyed every minute of it. The Rodeo was awesome. It was a constant show. There was one rider after another, and event after event. It started with a crazy light and lazer show and introducing all the riders. John Michael Montgomery sang the national anthem and the show began with bareback. The excitement didn't stop after that. We didn't make it on the Jumbotron, but saw some funny people on there. Tuff Hedeman was a judge and Lane Frosts parents were there too so that was cool to see them. After the rodeo was over we left and met another Famous Person. Mitt Romney!!!!!!! Ya, for those of you who don't know who he is, like me until after the piture was taken, he ran for President. It was kinda cool to meet him. He was nice too. Sure wish he was the President.
Anyway, we got home around 1 am and crashed around 2. I had class the next morning so I was really tired, but it was so worth it. Thanks again for the tickets Ernie! It was a blast!

My Very good-looking Cowboy hubby.

We wanted to drive this home but thought people would get Jealous.

The view from our seats. Not to shabby at all.

That would be one cute couple posing for the camera.

All three of us waitin for the Rodeo to start.

The cool light show. I loved it.

Almost all the riders. Texas had 33 qualifiers! Utah had 2 or 3 i think.

Yep. That is us with Mitt Romney.

Ernie is so proud of this picture.

Our Semester Break

So Jace and I didn't have school Thursday or Friday because of Semester Break. We didn't work either so we decided to relax. We had so much fun and spent the whole break together. We went on walks, on a picnic to the Vernan Worthen Park and played RockBand with Lindsey one day and we went hiking up to Dixie Rock complete with Taco Bell lunch. :) We cleaned the car and I cleaned out my CD collection. I threw 65 CD's away! It is so nice to have done. Sunday we ust relaxed all day. It was so nice. I studied a little bit for my Bio test but other than that we just laid on the couch and talked for the most part. It was so nice to have a break from everything and I wish it wasn't over but life must go on. So, wish us luck on a hectic week.

New Doritos chips model. . .

Our New Car

We bought a new - used car! :) Ernie, Jace's dad, found this butte on Monday on ksl.com after it had been up for 13 min. Ernie and Gail went up to West Jordan to get it Monday night and Ernie brought it to us on Tuesday morning. The couple selling it are moving and needed to sell it quick, so it was priced really low. I won't lie though, it was a little nerve racking to buy a car Jace and I had never seen or drove, but we love it. The previous owners didn't have time to clean it so it was quite dusty inside and had a billion little kid finger prints on the back windows. I got the inside all nice and clean today though. It took a little over two hours to clean all the interior, but it looks so great inside now. It doesn't even look like the same car. I use a toothbrush to get some of the grime out of the crevises and a safety pin too to get out the really deep stuff. There were little kid buggers on the back door too. It was gross. But after cleaning it, the car looks brand new. It's amazing what a toothbrush and some time can do. We are really happy with our new purchase and so thankful for Jace's parents finding it and going to get it for us. They are awesome and we love them lots.

The car! Yea, it's red, but I actually really like it. :)

Us and the car. We didn't have anywhere to put the camera to take the picture so this was the best we could do.

Fall colors in FIllmore

Jace and I were able to go visit his parents and family in Fillmore this weekend. We had so much fun and were so glad we could go. We don’t have a car yet, so we got a ride with my old roomie and close friend Lindsey. She lives in Monroe so we just met Jace’s parents in Cove Fort/I-70 were Lindsey heads over to Richfield, so it worked out really well. We went four-wheeling on Saturday across the mountain and saw the most beautiful colors. I absolutely loved it. I forgot my camera though, so luckily Gail remembered hers. We got some really good pictures too. I loved seeing all the reds, oranges, and yellows. It was nice to get outside too instead of being in our apartment because it is still so hot here in St. George. We are so glad we got away for the weekend. We needed the break.

I love the reds the most.

The bright yellow Quakes were gorgeous and everywhere.

Simply beautiful.

Ernie and Gail ridin up the mountain

Jace and I just loving the ride and the beauty

Love this picture

We got the whole family.

Jace and I by our tree we carved our initials in last time we rode across the moutain with everyone. Our tree is next to Ernie and Gails tree too. :)
