The Lake!

Jace and I have loved going to the lake this year. It has been so hot the past couple weeks and the water feels so great! We just float out on the lake for hours without realizing it has been that long. It is very relaxing. I have forgotten my camera every other time we have gone but I finally remembered it for this trip. We spend a couples hours there just floating on our blow-up bed thingy's and talking. It was great! We had alot of fun trying to get a picture of both of us on the lake too since one of us would have to push the button on the camera with the 10 sec timer then run into the lake and get on our floaty before the 10 seconds were up. It was hilarious to watch us try to run through the water that fast and look natural, but we got some fun pics.
We decided to go back the next day and spent most of the day there. We got there around 2:30pm and noticed that our normal spot was taken so we had to find a different area. We ended up at a rocky, very muddy area of the shore. I didn't like it one bit. The water was all dirty and there was a crawdad getting beat by the waves at the shore. Jace enjoyed playing with it for a little bit before finally getting back out to the lake. We set up our chairs after testing the temperature of the water and ate the lunch we packed. It was really good. We had sandwiches, fresh pineapple, chips, and a Dr. Pepper. Yummy!
After we filled our bellies we blew up our floaty's and braved the muddy yucky crawdad water. Once we got in we floated away from the grossness to to clear pretty water and soaked up the sun. The people that were in our spot left a little while after we got in so we hurried and moved our stuff over. Jace taught me how to skip rocks too. I got one rock to skip 5 times! That is my record. jace can get them to skip 20 times I swear. Someday I will be just as good as him. :) We walked out in the water and swam around for a little bit and floated around somemore before we decided to leave. Poor Jace got so sun burnt though. He looks like a plutonic lobster today. I can see alot of blister forming so I have been covering him in aloe. Hopefully he doesn't peel too bad.
When we went to bed that night we both couldn't sleep. We felt like we were still on the lake rocking on the waves. We both slept horribly. Hopefully tonight will be better and hopefully Jace's sunburn wont' hurt to much.

The lake looks gorgeous! You can't tell from the picture
that it is 110 degrees outside but it is!

Blowing up the floaty's

Floating on the lake in style! Isn't he cute?!?

This is one of our attempts to get a picture
of us on the lake. Didn't quite make it.

Yeah! We got a good one! My foot in almost
covering my face but we made it. :)

Best picture of the day!

Getting ready to leave. It was so much fun!

4 wheeling

Monday after the 4th of July we went 4 wheeling. First time this year! It was so much fun. We went on a new trail this time and it was so pretty. I loved seeing all the wild flowers and butterflies. We had a good little lunch on the mountain and Ernie was nice enough to invite a bee over to eat with me. :) Haha. Let's just say I haven't moved that fast in a long time. After getting rid of the bee and finishing eating Jace and Ernie threw rocks in the stream trying to hit the dam of rocks and twiggs. It was fun to watch them. We road across the mountain after that and stopped to see our tree. We both carved on 2010 in our tree too. It was good to see our tree again. The mountain was so beautiful. We saw a couple dear and snake too! I liked the dear, not the snake. I love riding through the water too. It is my favorite for sure! I took lots of pictures and I can't wait to go again so get ready Ernie and Momma T! :)
